The Protos 70 is a high-output cigarette making machine built by Hauni for manufacturers who want dependable volume with consistent quality. The line is made up of three units working together: the S7000 Cigarette Rod Maker, the M8000 Filter Tip Attachment and the F80 Auto Tray Filler, so the machine takes you from tobacco rod to filter-tipped cigarettes loaded into trays.
The Protos 70 runs at up to 7,000 cigarettes per minute on regular-diameter cigarettes and up to 6,000 cigarettes per minute on slim and super slim formats. It handles cigarette circumferences from 17mm to 28.3mm and filter plus tobacco rod lengths from 65mm to 110mm, so one machine can cover a wide range of formats.
Two built-in systems keep output consistent at this speed. A SIEMENS IPC or BECKHOFF IPC PLC control system automates the production cycle and cuts down on operator error. A microwave weight control system monitors cigarette weight as the machine runs, which keeps variation between cigarettes low and helps you stay within quality standards.
In a factory, the Protos 70 sits at the front of the line. The S7000 rod maker (50KW) forms the cigarette rod, the M8000 filter tip attachment (20KW) joins the filter, and the F80 auto tray filler (15KW) loads finished cigarettes into trays. From there they move on to your cigarette packing machines, which is why the two are often planned together as one end-to-end line.
The machine suits manufacturers who need solid high-volume output across regular, slim and super slim formats, and plants upgrading an older line. At a total weight of 10,800 KG, it needs proper planning for floor space, foundations and power supply before it arrives.
The closest match is the Protos 80 ER. It offers up to 8,000cpm on regular diameters and 7,000cpm on slim and super slim, against 7,000cpm and 6,000cpm on the Protos 70. Choose the Protos 70 for strong output at a lower ceiling, and the Protos 80 ER when you need the highest throughput.
